He Laughs at Himself

I thought everyone would like this clip! Colin's laugh is pretty funny - it changes all the time. Some times it is normal and sometimes we hear what you will hear in this clip. Enjoy!

Busy Weekend

Pete and Emily were in town this weekend to attend the funeral of Martha Winum - amazing lady who will be deeply missed by her family, friends and this community. Pete and Emily are expecting their first child in June (their blog is under favorites) Emily and I saw / heard Colin whistle, so that is our next challenge. I promise he did it =)

I have decided to throw away all of my black clothes because I am sick of funerals and sadness. I am ready for spring and some good news. I am trading in my black clothes for Green due to the upcoming St Patrick's Day festivities!

This weekend we went to watch our friend Jake in a weight lifting competition. It was a new world that we didn't know existed. After that Matt, Colin and I went to the mall to waste some time. Colin missed his morning nap, so he was excited to get in the car and head home. I had to work Saturday afternoon, so Matt took Colin to get the oil changed in the truck and had a guys day out.
This picture is of our friend Kumari with Colin at Jake's weight lifting event. Colin had a mohawk for the competition, we thought it was fitting. He was reading his new favorite book, "That's Not My Robot"

What Were We Thinking?

On Saturday it was SO nice here...60 degrees. So we thought it would be a good idea to get the dogs out and let them play. Savannah has been so anxious to get outside and play, it has become annoying. We got a lot of energy out of her on Saturday. We all met at Jake and Michelle's property, they are building a new home about 5 miles from our house. They brought their 3 dogs, Lauren and Justin brought one of their dogs and Kumari brought her puppy Lucy. The mud was so bad everyone was having problems walking. No one really thought about how we would get the dogs clean before going back home. So we had a dog cleaning party at our house. Everyone had a good time! Colin loved being outside - he just smiled and laughed the whole time. I can't wait for summer.

FEVER!

Colin got this hat from his cousin's in Wisconsin (thanks Gary and Tricia) - they think that the colors are for the Wisconsin Badgers, but they have to remember Nebraska has the same colors. We are ready for baseball season!!!

Colin has had a fever since Sunday evening. He is not acting sick in any other way, a little fussy, but otherwise doing all right. The fever got up to 104 on Monday and has been between 99-102 since. We are hoping the illness is coming to an end so we can all enjoy the nice weather that is on its way. He is sporting a mohawk in this picture, we are taking advantage of his cowlic.

Colin Is SO BIG!

We are now those annoying people who say, "HOW BIG ARE YOU?" "COLIN IS SO BIG" and he reaches to the sky. We love it though and think it is really cute. He also sticks out his tongue when someone sticks out their tongue. Enjoy the photos!

Pictures Are Getting Harder to Take

Colin and I have been under the weather for the past week. We are sorry that the blog has been lacking in excitement. Colin got his first tooth last week - Matt calls him fang. Colin dealt with that and I think a little bit of the stomach flu. I had the flu! It didn't really hit until this weekend, luckily Matt got home on Friday and became SUPER DAD.
Colin is starting to copy things that we do. He now claps if we clap and also imitates our noises.
Yesterday was Matt and I's 2 year anniversary. It was celbrated by not being sick and resting at home. Matt gets hit pretty hard this week, anniversary and Valentine's Day. He sent me 12 beautiful yellow roses. He ordered red...way to go Glenwood Florist=)
Tomorrow (the 13th) Colin is 8 months old!
