Busy Weekend

Friday night Matt and I decided that Colin needed to get out of the house so we took him to the YMCA swimming. Matt swam with him and he did great. When the lifeguards turned on the fountains it scared him, they were nice enough to turn them off though since we were the only ones in there. We are going to have to start taking him more often because he really enjoys the water!

Sunday morning the newest Hughes was baptised, Megan Marie - the whole gang came together. Colin played all day with his cousins and was worn out before the Super Bowl!

Hello Blog followers - we are sorry it has been so long since we have updated the blog. This is a pretty weak attempt of an update too. Hopefully the weather will cooperate this weekend and we will get some more photos of Colin. He is so busy these days. We have dropped our 2nd nap which really stinks for both Mom and Colin. I think he still needs it, but I can only handle him screaming in his room for so long. He absolutely loves his books and chocolate. He also has a new found love for Savannah. Colin tells Savannah to "Cm ere" and also to "sit" and he quotes me by saying "get back" to her. Colin could watch Blue's Clues all day long if we would let him, he settles for Sesame Street and really likes Elmo. He repeats just about everything we say now and he is just a funny kid!

Chistmas 2008

I didn't take too many photos over the holidays, but hopefully Matt's mom did and I can post those later. Colin received a slide/playhouse from Santa. He loves it. It is in the basement now and he wakes up in the morning saying "SLIDE", it is hard to get him away from it.

We went to Minnesota after Christmas to celebrate with Matt's family. Matt's parents got Colin an Elmo Live. He really enjoys it - maybe we do more than him, it is pretty funny.

The family has been down with the flu this week. Colin had it for the first time on Monday, then Matt got it and then I had the weakest version on Thursday. Luckily it seems to pass quickly and we got it out of our system before Christmas.

While we were in Minnesota we went to see the Boylan's.http://art-angie-boylan.blogspot.com/ Angie took some great pictures of Colin and Claire together. Give them another year to even realize the other exists! Colin really enjoyed checking out all of Claire's toys and books. Thanks for the photos Angie!!!

We went to Minnesota for Thanksgiving. Colin was very busy and had so much fun with his grandparents and Aunt Melissa. We went to St. John's while we were there for Colin's first college visit. We had a great time.
