Colin had some spring pictures taken last week. Here are a couple of them! There are about 60 more to choose from! He did really good - he certainly liked the rabbit better than the chicks - he tried to lick the rabbit.

Counting her toes

Many things have happened this month and I am just getting around to an update. Last week I met my college roommate Stacy in Chicago for a girls weekend. She is having a baby in June, so her being pregnant and me being our party levels were pretty equal. When 10pm hit we were both ready for bed....my type of vacation.

The Steele's had a very relaxed St. Patrick's Day this year. Hopefully next year the bus can return. We did get a new cousin though. Colette and Andy Martin had a little girl on Tuesday - a St Patty's Day baby that just received a name today....Adeline Marie Martin. Colin met her last night and really enjoyed counting her fingers and toes.

To The Boat Show

Matt and Colin went to the boat show in Omaha last weekend. This is how Colin smiles when you tell him to say "cheese". On the way home they stopped at the pet store to pick up something for Colin - we now have a Betta Fish names Fin. He stays up on the counter so he is not over fed or dumped out of his bowl.

Our 20 month old child recognizes the President wherever he sees him. I guess this means he is pretty smart, well he also recognizes airplanes and circles =)

60 Degree Weather

The weather was nice today so Colin and I made a quick trip to the zoo this morning. We were not the only ones with this idea. Since Matt has been taking Colin to Bass Pro on a regular basis, Colin has an obsession with fish. Going into the aquarium was like Disney World for him. The penguins were entertaining and the school of fish was amazing to him. Hopefully the weather will be consistently nice soon so we can make the zoo visits more frequent.

Mardi Gras Weekend

This was the amazing Willy Wonka Table! Everyone loved our table - mostly toward the end of the night when they needed a snack.
I won the money hat after finding the Baby Jesus in the cupcake, a Mardi Gras tradition called King Cakes. It helped since Matt got stuck buying a cardboard stand up of John Wayne for $225 - retail price....$50. Matt loves live auctions and just can't leave one without something.

Colin enjoyed wearing the Mardi Gras hat on Sunday. The Elmo shirt has been a favorite for Colin. He wore it all day on Saturday and then found it in the dirty laundry in his room on Sunday morning. He brought it out and insisted on putting it on. I have to find a special place for this shirt because he also looks through his shirt drawer for it.

When we went to church on Sunday night we realized how much news we watch when Colin pointed to the American Flag and said "OBAMA" not great to hear for his republican parents - oh and it wasn't just once, he said it about 4 times until we were able to distract him.

Play Date, Hockey and Mardi Gras!

Tonight is our churches annual Mardi Gras Party! Our friend Michelle and I decorated a table themed "Willy Wonka" this is a photo of the 833 bubblegum balls used in decorating...more pictures to come.

Last week Colin's cousin Kate came over to play. Colin was very excited to have someone to play with and Kate really wore him out. Colin was ready to watch a show and go take a nap after an hour of playing with Kate. Kate can come over anytime =) Last night we took Colin to a UNO hockey game - they played Notre Dame. The game was really good and entertaining for Colin. We were right by the student section, so there was always something going on for him to watch.
