Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend Matt and I went to Kansas City for a little vacation. Colin stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Hughes for a couple of nights. We had a great time in Kansas City and Colin had a lot of fun too. When we got back to town we took Colin to the new pool at Hickory Ridge (Glenwood's newest subdivision) and took advantage of the nice weather. He was being pretty cool with his shades on. He is probably going to be a pool rat this summer.

Matt was very persistent about "throwing rocks" at the Lucky Strike bowling alley while in KC. The unfortunate thing is that I TOTALLY rocked him. See final scores below.

My form is clearly better =)

See the numbers to the right...after 3 games I had 447 and Matt had 355. To be honest it was total luck, he is usually a MUCH better at bowling than me.

Lots of Updates

Colin is less than one month away from being two! We have taught him to say he is 2...we figured it was just easier that way. He doesn't just say two, he says, "Number 2". We have been visiting the park a lot lately and Colin loves the playground there. The weather is finally cooperating with our outdoor activities. While Dad and Mom work in the yard in the evening he helps out by throwing the rocks into the grass or filling the bird bath with rocks.
What a big helper!!!

The relationship continues to blossom between Savannah and Nalo!

I let him go on the big slide!!!

He stopped half way down to check out the scenery and to scare his mom!

It was more fun to climb up the steps to the slide!

First Horse Ride

Matt's parents came down this weekend. Colin gets so excited to see Grandma Steele and Grandpa Steve. Both Colin and Grandpa got to ride the horses at Uncle Allan and Aunt Korrina's house Friday night. Colin wasn't to excited about it, but did make it one time around!
This face explains how Colin really felt about the ride!

Colin loves to be outside and really likes the water. Any type of standing water Colin blesses himself in...including the birdbath.
